The newest iteration of these headphones is nothing short of amazing. It starts with the packaging that is clean and efficient. No wasted space and it’s clean and attractive.
From there, moving on to the sleekness of the carrying case that comes with these headphones. Because they collapse and fold onto themselves, the case is small and very portable. Easy to take on a flight with you, or throw in your pack for around town.
Once you put these headphones on is when the world disappears. The active noise cancellation is better than the previous model, and the best that I have experienced from any set of headphones. Easily better than any other flagship headphones that I’ve tried.
The comfort of these headphones is wonderful as well. The padded headband sits perfectly, and the ear cuffs have thick cushioning. There’s just the right amount of pressure to hold them on your head without bothering you. The battery is quoted at 24 hours, and I don’t think lack of comfort would be what makes you take them off.
The sound quality is on par with what you would expect from Bose’s top of the line cans. The new head tracking that’s built into them is really cool. You can turn it off, you can set it as a fixed point ahead of you, or you can have it follow you around. It’s hard to describe, but it’s really cool in practice.
Overall, these headphones are great investment. I can’t wait to really put them through their paces and get them broken in.
